About This Book
The Elementary School Gender Equality Research Group, a gathering of teachers researching feminism education, has created Korea's first feminism textbook for children. The book discusses feminism at children's level through seven topics: appearance, sexual self-determination, future career choices, role models, sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender roles. Since these could be difficult topics for children, they are made accessible through 'stories' featuring five unique main characters. After each 'story,' there are the teacher's friendly 'feminism lessons' and activities children can participate in with friends.
